Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team for a 6 week position while our current employee is off on medical leave. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations by providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and supporting office functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in office software, and experience in clerical and customer support roles. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and excellent communication are essential.
Duties
- Greet visitors and clients with professionalism and courtesy at the front desk
- Manage multi-line phone systems, screen calls, and direct inquiries appropriately
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office
- Handle filing, document management, and organization of office supplies
- Assist with appointment scheduling and calendar management
- Provide customer support via phone, email, or in person while maintaining excellent phone etiquette
- Support bookkeeping tasks including invoicing and basic financial record keeping
- Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution
Requirements
- Proven experience in office administration, clerical work, or as a receptionist
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Strong customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Attention to detail for data entry, proofreading, and document management
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or bookkeeping certifications are advantageous
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 per week
