Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Ensure timely delivery of orders to meet service expectations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for supplies or ingredients
- Adhere to sanitation standards and health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and kitchen equipment operation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent meal preparation skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with the food industry standards for cleanliness and safety
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required for motivated learners
