POSITION: Millwright – Red Seal/433A
LOCATION: Amherst, NS
SALARY: $38.00–$40.00 per hour
SHIFT: Rotating Continental (rotates every 2 weeks between days/nights)
STATUS: Full-time, Permanent
Qualifications
- Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (3rd/4th year apprentices considered).
- Manufacturing experience preferred; welding, fabrication, machining, rigging an asset.
- Forklift license and fall arrest certification are assets.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; able to read blueprints and operate hand, portable, and floor tools safely.
- Able to lift 40 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, climbing).
Overview
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant machinery.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment to minimize downtime.
- Maintain tools and document work via Work Orders.
- Support continuous improvement and ensure health & safety compliance
