Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Case Worker to manage and oversee temporary immigration files. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities, proficiency in multiple languages, and experience in case management to support clients through immigration processes effectively.
Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate records of temporary immigration files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information and assess their needs
- Assist clients throughout the immigration process by providing guidance and support
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, for data entry, reporting, and correspondence
- Supervise and coordinate case activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies
- Provide training and development support to team members as needed
- Prepare presentations and reports to communicate case progress and outcomes effectively
- Ensure timely follow-up with clients and internal teams to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information in accordance with privacy regulations
Skills
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable; strong communication skills in both languages are essential
- Proven experience in case management, data entry, and client interviewing techniques
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Leadership experience or supervisory skills to oversee case activities and team coordination
- Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously within deadlines
- Presentation skills for preparing reports and communicating case details clearly
- Ability to operate various computer systems efficiently and adapt to new technology tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
