Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated person to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, concrete finishing, and the use of various hand and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects including siding, framing, concrete work, and heavy equipment operation. The candidate will play a vital part in delivering high-quality craftsmanship for residential and commercial construction projects. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting, reading schematics, and following safety protocols to ensure efficient project completion.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute construction tasks accurately
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related restoration work
- Install siding, framing, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Operate heavy equipment safely to assist with large-scale construction tasks
- Conduct woodworking tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
- Utilize welding techniques for structural repairs and custom fabrications
- Engage in heavy lifting to move materials and equipment safely around the job site
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Experience
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or related trades with a focus on concrete finishing, siding, or restoration projects
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience operating power tools and heavy equipment is required
- Knowledge of welding techniques and woodworking skills will be considered an asset
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in demanding environments
- Prior experience working on residential or commercial construction sites preferred
