Is seeking a Law Clerk/Legal Assistant/Paralegal for their Ottawa Office
We are a highly reputable small Law Office with over 30 years of experience in Family Law, Civil Litigation, Estate, and Small Business matters, with offices in Ottawa (main office) and Toronto, seeking an experienced and organized law clerk, legal assistant, and/or paralegal to join a collegial small firm environment. All team members are highly valued and given the opportunity to experience and participate in all aspects of the law practice.
Responsibilities
- general administrative and legal support
- managing calendars and deadlines
- client communication and file management
- preparing financial disclosure materials
- scheduling conferences, motions, and court appearances
- organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files
- drafting correspondence and preparing court documents
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in family and civil law preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with family and civil court procedures and filings
- Experience with DivorceMate and general legal software is an asset
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
