About The Role
The Commercial Lending Support Clerk provides critical operational and administrative support to the Commercial Lending team. This role ensures the accurate setup, maintenance, and servicing of complex commercial loan accounts, while facilitating payment activities and producing timely reports to support business decision-making. The position demands strong attention to detail, sound knowledge of lending practices, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Here's what you will be doing:

Accurately program and maintain commercial loan accounts in internal banking systems based on approved credit documentation and instructions.

Facilitate loan disbursements, repayments, and payment schedules, ensuring timely and accurate execution in accordance with loan agreements.

Perform monthly reporting on commercial loan portfolio performance, including expired credit reporting, loan maturity reporting, expired securities reporting, etc.

Support the setup and maintenance of pre-authorized payments and wire transfers related to commercial loan servicing.

Assist with the preparation of loan documentation packages, renewals, amendments, and draw requests in collaboration with credit and legal teams.

Process loan-related transactions such as payment reversals, interest adjustments, fee postings, and account reconciliations.

Respond to internal inquiries regarding loan status, account history, or payment processing with a high degree of professionalism and accuracy.

Collaborate with Commercial Account Managers and Analysts, and other departments to ensure a smooth end-to-end lending process.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline lending support workflows and reduce processing errors.

Strong analytical skills with ability to pay close attention to detail.

Proficiency in DNA and learning new software.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

High level of organizational skills with ability to prioritize daily workload.

Ability to adjust to changing work priorities and meet deadlines.

Confident self-starter able to work independently.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Prior experience in loan administration, banking operations, or financial services (1-2 years preferred)

Strong data entry and transaction processing skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
