About The Role
You will lead Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 asbestos projects in accordance with WorkSafeBC requirements and company procedures. This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for crew direction, site documentation, quality control, safety enforcement, and day-to-day execution.

Core Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews on Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 asbestos abatement projects
- Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and manage crew productivity and safe work flow
- Set up, verify, and maintain containments, decon units, and negative air systems to required standards
- Own site documentation and records: daily logs, toolbox talks, safety inspections, air monitoring records (as applicable), waste manifests, and closeout documents
- Perform ongoing quality control checks on containment integrity, decon process, cleaning standards, and final readiness for clearance
- Enforce PPE, respirator, and safe work procedures; stop unsafe work and correct deficiencies immediately
- Coordinate with Project Management, clients, consultants, and internal teams to keep work compliant and on schedule
- Train, coach, and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 workers; support onboarding and skill development
- Support hands-on field work as needed to maintain production targets and quality expectations
- Oversee compliant waste packaging, labeling, staging, and transport coordination in line with TDG requirements
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Current BC Asbestos Worker certification for Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 work
- Current TDG certification
- Current quantitative full-face respirator fit test
- Confined space entry certification
- Fall protection certification
- WHMIS 2015
- First Aid OFA Level 1
- Valid BC driver's license with clean abstract
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check
- Minimum 3 years of asbestos abatement field experience, including proven crew leadership on Type 3 projects
- Secondary school completion
- Physically able to work 8-10 hour shifts in PPE, lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights
Nice to have:
- Supervisor or Competent Worker designation
- Experience in occupied healthcare environments
- Forklift or aerial work platform ticket
- Incident investigation and corrective action experience
- Strong working knowledge of WorkSafeBC documentation and compliance expectations

$34-42.00 per hour depending on experience and certifications.

Ability to commute/relocate
This is a field-based role. Candidates must be able to reliably travel to Vancouver and surrounding areas.
