CNC Press Brake Operator

MGS Metal & Wire is a custom metal fabrication company producing high-end architectural metalwork, hospitality and retail fixtures, custom furniture, and specialty metal components. Our work is varied, with new projects regularly moving through the shop.
We are looking for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join our Prep Department. The primary responsibility is press brake setup and operation, but we value someone with a versatile skill set who can assist with other equipment within the department when needed.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake equipment
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and bend details
- Select appropriate tooling and perform machine setups
- Bend and form steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to required dimensions and angles
- Check parts using tape measures, squares, calipers, and other measuring tools
- Make machine adjustments as required to maintain accuracy
- Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet drawing specifications
- Assist with other Prep Department operations based on experience and production needs
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
- Previous CNC press brake experience
- Ability to set up and operate a press brake independently
- Strong ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints
- Good understanding of tooling, bend allowances, material thicknesses, and forming
- Experience working with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Able to use measuring and inspection tools accurately
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience with other equipment such as CNC laser cutting, saws, drilling, rolling, or machining is an asset
- Versatility and willingness to assist with different operations within the Prep Department
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
What We Offer
- Four-day work week, Monday to Thursday
- 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- $21.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience

Expected hours: 40 per week
