Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dental Technician with at least 3 years of experience to join our dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and other dental appliances. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dental materials and procedures. The Dental Technician will collaborate closely with dental professionals to ensure the accurate fabrication of restorations that meet patient needs and specifications.
Duties
- Fabricate dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays, and onlays based on detailed prescriptions from dentists.
- Use CAD software to design restorations with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare and process dental materials, including waxes, porcelains, resins, and metals.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders and patient information.
- Collaborate with dental office staff to interpret prescriptions and ensure the proper specifications are met.
- Inspect finished products for quality control, ensuring proper fit, function, and aesthetics.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment adhering to safety standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and materials to improve fabrication processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental laboratory setting or related laboratory experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software specific to dental applications is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience with dental assisting or working within a dental office environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise work.
- Ability to interpret detailed prescriptions and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with various dental materials and their handling requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of dental professionals.
