Onsite job duties
Setting up work stations at various locations.
Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, wood chippers, stump grinders and more.
Pruning, thinning, trimming, and removing trees, hedges, and shrubs on residential and commercial properties.
Assisting trimmers and forepersons with job-site setup, debris removal and cleanup.
Tree Planting, Plant Health Care and landscaping properties.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills.
- Preferred background in Landscaping, Forestry, or horticulture.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Knowledgeable and competent in the safe operation of machinery. Wood chippers, chainsaws, stump grinders, and skid-steer loaders.
- Valid provincial G License with a clean driving record and ability to drive 5-ton vehicles.
- Ability to plant, trim or remove trees and shrubs efficiently.
- Able to work well with others and communicate cordially and effectively with clients
- Maintain equipment as needed.
- Act as an effective team leader
Summary
As a Tree Trimmer and landscaper, you will be essential in maintaining the aesthetic and health of outdoor spaces. Reporting to the Landscape Manager, your role involves performing tree trimming and landscape maintenance using core horticulture and landscape care skills. You will utilize skills such as rigging to execute tasks at heights safely. Your certifications, including Working at Heights and First Aid, will also ensure a safe working environment. Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
