Thrive at Home Care is looking for a compassionate, dependable and experienced Health Care Aide to support a client in the Pigeon Lake area.
This is a part-time position consisting of three-hour visits, three days per week, for approximately nine hours weekly. The specific days and times may be flexible and will be confirmed based on the client’s needs and the successful candidate’s availability.
Because the client is located near Pigeon Lake, this position is best suited for someone who lives in or near Pigeon Lake, Mulhurst Bay, Westerose, Ma-Me-O Beach, Falun, Thorsby or Wetaskiwin.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
- Providing safe mobility and transfer assistance, as required
- Offering companionship and meaningful social interaction
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Completing light housekeeping related to the client’s care
- Observing and reporting changes in the client’s condition
- Following the client’s individualized care plan
- Completing accurate shift documentation
Final responsibilities will be confirmed following the client’s assessment and development of the care plan.
Qualifications:
- Health Care Aide certificate or equivalent caregiving experience
- Active status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory/Registry is preferred
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, or willingness to obtain
- Previous home-care, disability-support or personal-care experience is an asset
- Reliable transportation to the Pigeon Lake area is required
- Dependable, respectful and comfortable working independently
- Strong communication and documentation skills

- Three hours per visit
- Three visits per week
- Approximately nine guaranteed hours weekly
- Daytime scheduling
- Some flexibility in days and visit times may be available
