Handyman — Toronto, ON
Job Type: Full-time / Contract
Location: Toronto & GTA
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We're looking for a skilled, reliable handyman to join our team in Toronto. You'll split your time between two types of work: residential projects for homeowners (minor construction, interior repairs, and renovations) and contractor support for PDI and deficiency work in new builds and condos.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality work, communicates well with clients, and can manage their day independently.
What You'll Be Doing
Homeowner Projects
- Minor interior renovations — drywall, painting, trim, flooring, tile
- Fixture installation — doors, windows, cabinets, shelving, lighting, plumbing fixtures
- General repairs — anything that needs fixing around the home
- Furniture assembly and mounting (TVs, mirrors, artwork)
PDI & Deficiency Work (Contractor Support)
- Walk units with builders or superintendents to identify and document deficiencies
- Complete deficiency repairs to builder standards — drywall patching, touch-up painting, caulking, hardware adjustments
- Work efficiently across multiple units to meet builder deadlines
- Coordinate with site supervisors and trades on punch list items
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of hands-on handyman or general trades experience
- Comfortable working directly with homeowners — professional, friendly, and clean
- Familiar with new construction and the PDI/deficiency process
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle (required)
- Own basic tools
- Strong attention to detail — you catch things others miss
- Able to manage a schedule and show up on time, every time
Bonus points for:
- Experience in drywall finishing or painting
- Familiarity with condo/high-rise construction environments
What's in It for You
- Steady, year-round work
- Competitive pay — commensurate with experience
- Flexible scheduling
- Work with a team that values quality and treats people right
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
