Job Summary
Ferro Fabrications Ltd. is seeking skilled and motivated Welders and Ironworkers to join our dynamic team in the Lower Mainland region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and manufacturing projects, utilizing your expertise in welding, steel fabrication, and structural assembly. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for executing high-quality welds, installing ironwork components, and ensuring safety and precision throughout every phase of the project. Your technical skills and proactive approach will contribute to building durable structures that stand the test of time.
What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on your trade and experience, your work may include:
- Industrial construction, installation, maintenance, and repair
- Installation and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment
- Structural steel fabrication, installation, and modification
- Welding and mechanical repairs
- Conveyor and bulk material handling equipment installation and maintenance
- Shutdown and turnaround work at industrial facilities
- Equipment alignment, rigging, assembly, and mechanical installation
- Reading and interpreting drawings, plans, and specifications
- Working safely around heavy equipment and industrial operations
- Supporting and coordinating with other trades and site crews
- Leading work scopes and crews where applicable
Qualifications & Experience
- Approximately 5+ years of industrial construction or maintenance experience preferred
- Red Seal certification or equivalent trade qualification preferred
- Experience working in industrial environments is an asset
- Experience with conveyors, bucket elevators, ship loaders, railcar dumpers, scales, or other bulk material handling equipment is an asset
- Previous Chargehand, Lead Hand, or Foreperson experience is an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- First Aid and CSO certification are assets
- Project coordination or project management experience is an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Strong commitment to safe work practices
- Reliable, motivated, and willing to take on new challenges
