Airswift is seeking a Warehouse Technician to support our client, an O&G company in Cochrane, AB on a 12-month contract.
Summary of Role
The foundation of this role is analytical in nature, the successful candidate will be adept with computers and particularly with using Excel to manipulate and manage data. Additionally, this role incorporates traditional warehousing duties such as receiving, issuing, counting, unloading (via forklift), etc.
General Duties
- Assist other Warehouse Technician as required
- Including unloading of trucks via forklift or other mobile equipment
- Handling/movement of goods via forklift or other mobile equipment
- Shipping
- Picking/staging materials
- Assist Inventory Controller as required
- Material master creation
- PR creation
- MRP management
- PI/cycle count program coordination
- Invoice review and resolution
- Receiving of goods and services
- Customer service/fetching parts
- Reservation management
- Liaise with Inventory Controller on required date changes or job cancellations
- Review staged materials to confirm if still needed
- 5S with focus on optimization of space
- Turnaround/outage support (extended hours/weekends as required)
- Position is OT eligible but OT must be approved by Supervisor
- Other tasks and projects assigned by the Inventory Controller and Supervisor
Required Skills
- Must be skilled with MS Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with SAP is an asset
- Willing to drive mobile equipment used for unloading trucks and organizing the warehouse (we will provide required training; candidate does not need to be certified)
- Class 5 license and vehicle to commute
