Are you a skilled Senior Security Systems Technician looking to grow your career? PDS Fire and Security has been a leading provider of commercial fire and security solutions for over 20 years. We’re currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Security Systems Service Technician to join our Calgary-based team.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of:
- Access Control Systems (e.g., Kantech)
- Surveillance Systems
- Intrusion Alarm Systems (e.g., DSC, Honeywell)
- ULC Monitoring Installation and Inspection
- Install, program, and commission new systems
- Run and terminate structured cabling (copper, coaxial, fiber)
- Complete system checkouts, certifications, and customer training
- Assist with networking and IP configurations (NVRs, rack builds, system connectivity)
- Lead small on-site teams and uphold safety and quality standards
- Travel for out-of-town projects as needed
What You Bring:
- 5 + years of experience in the electronic security industry
- Solid understanding of CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry, and Intrusion Systems
- Experience with CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry, and Intrusion
- Familiarity with industry standards
- Strong fault diagnosis, documentation, and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean record
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Asset: Certifications in security, access control, alarm, or A/V systems
- Comfortable working in safety-sensitive environments
- Strong Knowledge of, DSC, Kantech, Exacqvision, Honeywell, ULC

Travel: Some out-of-town project work required
On Call: 4-6 week rotation
