Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience. Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality and excellent communication skills are essential. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation standards
- Manage time efficiently to serve multiple tables during busy periods without compromising quality of service
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest experiences and resolve any issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and upselling opportunities
- Flexibility to adapt to various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
