Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging using a new 3D mammography system to support the early detection and diagnosis of breast health conditions.
This role requires a compassionate and patient-centered approach, strong attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure patient comfort and accurate imaging results. The Mammography Technologist will collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional diagnostic services in a professional clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for mammography procedures by clearly explaining the process and addressing any questions or concerns
- Operate new 3D mammography equipment to obtain high-quality, precise images of breast tissue
- Ensure proper patient positioning to achieve optimal imaging while minimizing discomfort
- Follow all radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and oneself
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations
- Provide patient support and reassurance throughout the procedure to ensure a positive experience
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control checks on imaging systems
- Adhere to infection prevention and control standards, maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications / Experience
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
- Proven experience performing mammography procedures in a clinical setting (preferred)
- Experience with 3D mammography (tomosynthesis) is an asset
- Strong knowledge of breast anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support patients from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in operating advanced mammography equipment with accuracy and care
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, radiation safety standards, and documentation requirements

Pay: $32.24-$50.61 per hour
