General Stagehand (Events & Production)
Job Overview
Nasco Staffing Solutions is hiring reliable and hardworking Stage Hands to support live events and productions across the GTA. This role involves a mix of event setup, equipment handling, and general labour. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, physically capable, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and teardown of events, including staging, chairs, flooring, and equipment
- Load, unload, and move materials safely (up to 50 lbs)
- Support installation of structures, flooring, and production equipment (AV/lighting)
- Use basic tools such as wrenches, drills, and levels
- Follow instructions, site plans, and safety procedures
- Maintain awareness in active work environments
- Work collaboratively with crew members and production teams
Qualifications
- Experience in events, staging, construction, or general labour is an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, bending, standing 4–6+ hours)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Basic technical or tool experience is an asset
- Commitment to workplace safety and awareness
Requirements
- Must be available for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts (including after 11 PM)
- Ability to travel to various job sites across the GTA
- Must have required PPE: Steel toe boots, High-visibility vest, Hard hat, Work gloves
