[Salary & Compensation Breakdown]
- $20 - $23/ hour: For candidates with less than 1 year of sushi roll experience, depending on your specific experience and roll-making skills.
- From $23.00+ / hour: For experienced Sushi Makers who can fully manage all kinds of sushi station prep independently.
(All positions include a fair/generous Tip-sharing structure and Vacation Pay).
[Responsibilities]
- Sushi Bar Management: Overseeing the sushi station and ensuring an efficient workflow during service.
- Preparation: Handling fish butchery (Sashimi skills are highly preferred) and overall ingredient prep to maintain our high-quality standards.
- Quality Control: Ensuring top-tier food safety, hygiene, and beautiful presentation for every dish.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to provide a seamless dining experience.
[Requirements]
- ** Visa Status ** : We aim to hire local candidates who do not require visa sponsorship. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- ** Minimum Qualifications ** : Must have direct sushi roll experience. Please note that general kitchen experience or experience in other cuisines will not be considered for this role.
- Experience: Previous experience making basic Japanese sushi rolls is required. Familiarity with handling and cutting sashimi is a strong asset.
- Mindset: Punctuality is our top priority. We highly value reliability, a professional appearance, and a strong work ethic.
- Certification: A valid FoodSafe Level 1 or 2 certificate is a strong plus.
