Reporting to the Administration Manager, this role is responsible for supporting all companies within the Central Utility Services group.
Duties:
- Assist in financial accounting activities, including journal entries and receiving payments.
- Manage accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment processing, coding of transactions and review of entries
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of balances and resolve discrepancies
- Creation and distribution of invoices
- Provide accurate and timely aging reports
- Issuing customer monthly statements, correspondence with customers and collections with past due accounts
- Other Accounting duties will include providing back up support for Accounts payable, as well as Assistance with other accounting/finance projects as And Project coordination data entry:
- Set up and maintain contract and project folders, ensuring accurate document control and version management
- Track, analyze and report project progress to appropriate managers and/or customers
- Provide general day-to-day administration and support to the Operations team
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on current and future projects, reporting, allocations, and other departmental requirements
- Create, update, and maintain project schedules
- Requirements:
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a similar role
- Post secondary diploma , degree or certificate in Accounting or Finance however experienced only candidates will also be considered
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and accounting practices
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis such as (Spectrum, MS Dynamics, JD Edwards, MS Office; experience with Procore or similar CRM/project tracking systems is an asset)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision while prioritizing work to meet deadlines
- Comfort with repetitive, process-driven work done at high volume
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring tasks efficiently over sustained periods
- Willingness to learn industry-specific processes, including power line construction and utility operations needed.
- Class 5 driver's license

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
