At Forno Cultura, we believe coffee is one of life’s simple pleasures—a daily ritual that brings people together. We're looking for a Lead Barista who is passionate about specialty coffee, genuine hospitality, and creating experiences that guests remember long after they've left the café.
As a Lead Barista, you'll be the driving force behind the coffee program on the floor: dialing in espresso, perfecting pours, mentoring fellow baristas, and creating a welcoming space where both guests and team members feel at home. You'll combine technical coffee knowledge with strong leadership, helping to shape a culture of excellence, curiosity, and connection.

- Oversee daily calibration of machines and grinders to deliver optimal flavor profiles.
- Monitor beverage presentation and taste, ensuring every cup aligns with our brand’s standards.
- Help cultivate a culture of coffee curiosity, craftsmanship, and continuous learning.
Creating the Forno Experience
- Maintain the visual presentation of the bar and beverage stations, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Set up and refresh product displays and merchandising throughout the day.
- Ensure product tags, pricing, and labels are accurate and clear for guests.
- Create a space that feels warm, welcoming, and reflective of the Forno Cultura brand.
Hospitality & Guest Connection
- Greet every guest warmly, offering knowledgeable recommendations on beverages and food pairings.
- Deliver prompt, attentive, and genuine service, fostering connection and trust with guests.
- Share your passion for coffee through thoughtful conversation and education.
- Handle guest concerns with professionalism and care, resolving issues effectively and gracefully.
- Help create the kind of café experience that turns first-time guests into regulars.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead by example on the floor, supporting baristas and FOH team members to ensure seamless service.
- Provide on-the-job coaching and share coffee knowledge to develop team confidence and skills.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with management and team members via Slack, email, and in-person updates.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily bar operations, including opening, closing, and cleaning procedures.
- Monitor product and supply levels, restocking proactively and communicating needs to supervisors.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and workplace safety guidelines at all times.
- Support management in maintaining efficiency and smooth workflows during peak hours.
Why You'll Love This Role
- Be part of a team that values craftsmanship, hospitality, and community.
- Grow your coffee knowledge and leadership skills.
- Work with high-quality products in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Help shape memorable experiences for guests every day.
- Join a company that cares deeply about quality, people, and continuous improvement.
