Job Summary
Salco Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Coordinator to support and oversee construction and demolition projects from planning through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to work closely with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable managing project documentation, tracking project progress, coordinating schedules, assisting with procurement and budgeting, and ensuring projects remain organized and on schedule in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate construction and demolition projects from start to finish alongside Project Managers and Site Supervisors
- Maintain and organize project documentation, including contracts, purchase orders (POs), change orders, invoices, RFIs, submittals, and daily reports
- Assist with project scheduling, procurement, and material coordination
- Track project progress, budgets, labor, and material costs
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients regarding project requirements and timelines
- Request and review quotes from vendors and subcontractors
- Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and project reporting
- Ensure project files, drawings, permits, and documentation remain accurate and up to date
- Use Microsoft Excel, Adobe, Outlook, Buildertrend, and other project management software daily
- Attend meetings, prepare meeting notes and follow up on action items
- Assist with site logistics, scheduling, and project closeout documentation
- Support field operations and help resolve project-related issues in a timely manner
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction and demolition project coordination
- Strong understanding of construction and demolition processes and project workflows
- Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Adobe, Outlook, and project management software
- Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction management software is considered an asset
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Ability to manage project documentation and maintain accurate records
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Spanish or additional languages are considered a strong asset
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License preferred
- Experience with procurement, budgeting, and vendor coordination is considered an asset
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
