Our client, a growing automotive manufacturing facility in London is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with manufacturing maintenance experience who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working with injection moulding processes, and continuously developing their technical skills. Location: London, ON (Accessible by Public Transit)
Pay: Starting at $26.00-$29.00/hour based on experience
Shift: Days to start, with flexibility to work Afternoon or Midnight shifts as required
Job Type: Temporary-to-Permanent (Evaluation Hire)
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to support efficient manufacturing operations.
- Perform mould changes and machine set-ups for plastic injection moulding equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Complete preventative maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
- Assist with production changeovers and equipment adjustments.
- Respond to machine breakdowns and production-related maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and performance.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Qualifications Required
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with production equipment and machinery.
- Ability to perform mould changes and machine set-ups.
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Assets
- Experience with plastic injection moulding equipment.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls or automation systems.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Technical training, apprenticeship, or trade-related education.
