Silo Restaurant at Angus Glen Golf Club is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and guest-focused individuals to join our team for the 2026 golf season.
This is a cross-trained seasonal position. During your employment, you will be scheduled as either a Clubhouse Host or a Silo Bartender, depending on operational needs, your training, and business demands. While each shift is assigned to one role, all team members are expected to be flexible and comfortable working in both positions.
Clubhouse Host Responsibilities
- Welcome restaurant guests, golfers, and event visitors with a warm and professional attitude.
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements.
- Answer telephone calls and assist guests with reservations and general inquiries.
- Coordinate guest seating with the service team to ensure a smooth dining experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand.
- Support the daily operations of the restaurant and clubhouse.
Silo Bartender Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to guest orders while following Smart Serve regulations.
- Provide efficient beverage service for restaurant guests and golfers.
- Take and process food and beverage orders for golfers requiring quick service before or after their round.
- Prepare and coordinate takeout food and beverage orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
- Follow all food safety, liquor service, and health and safety standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure timely and efficient service.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is an asset.
- Valid Smart Serve Certification (or willingness to obtain before your first shift).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
This is a seasonal contract position with an anticipated employment period of approximately August through December 2026. Employment dates and scheduled shifts may vary based on operational requirements and employee availability.
