Job Overview
A recruitment agency is currently seeking Food Production Workers for a well-established cheese manufacturing operation in Windsor, Ontario.
The ideal candidates will have previous experience working in a food manufacturing or food production environment, particularly within a federally inspected food processing facility. Experience in cheese, dairy, or similar food manufacturing environments is considered a strong asset.
This is a hands-on production role suited to reliable individuals who are comfortable working in a food manufacturing environment and following strict food safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform general production and processing duties in a food manufacturing facility
- Assist with the preparation, handling, packaging, and processing of food products
- Operate production equipment and machinery as required
- Follow established food safety, sanitation, and quality-control procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized production area
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Inspect products and packaging for quality and consistency
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and work areas
- Follow production instructions and meet daily production requirements
- Work effectively as part of a production team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, food processing, or a food production environment
- Experience working in a federally inspected food facility is strongly preferred
- Cheese or dairy manufacturing experience is an asset
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
Compensation
$18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on relevant food manufacturing experience and qualifications.
Candidates with 2–3 years of food production experience, particularly experience in federally inspected facilities or cheese/dairy manufacturing, may be considered toward the higher end of the range.
Schedule
Monday to Friday
7:00 AM to approximately 4:00–5:00 PM
