Job Overview:
QS&K Group is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive individual to join our team as an In-House Accountant/Bookkeeper. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
● Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks and Dext.
● Process accounts payable and receivable.
● Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial records.
● Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
● Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
● Support year-end financial closing and audits.
● Prepare and file taxes.
● Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs.
● Prepare tax documents.
● Compile and analyze financial statements.
● Manage budgeting and forecasting.
● Other accounting and bookkeeping duties as required.
Qualifications:
● Completion of an accounting or bookkeeping program (certification not required).
● A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
● Familiarity with QuickBooks and Dext software.
● Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals.
● Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
● Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping is an asset but not required.
● Open to co-op students looking to gain experience in a professional setting.
● Strong work ethic.
● Resourceful.
● Good Team player. Able to work with staffs from different department.
● Proficiency in software navigation. (TOAST & Snappy POS System, DEXT, Marketman, Quickbooks Online)
