Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, menu planning, and staff management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties:
- Plan and create menus that are innovative, appealing, and in line with customer preferences
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with management to develop cost-effective strategies for menu planning and ingredient sourcing
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Strong line skills a must
- NOTE EXPECTED SHIFTS ARE 12 TO 8
Experience:
- Proven experience working as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Extensive knowledge of food handling techniques, culinary trends, and menu development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience supervising kitchen staff
