Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional guest service at our hotel. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth check-in and check-out processes. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist a diverse guest population. Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The Front Desk Agent plays a vital role in creating a positive guest experience and maintaining the high standards of our establishment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, make reservations, and provide information
- Handle guest requests promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, cancellations, and guest information
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
- Process payments accurately and handle cash or credit transactions
- Address guest concerns or complaints with tact and professionalism
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are ready and issues are resolved promptly
- Uphold hotel policies and procedures to ensure safety and security for guests and staff
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multitasking capabilities
- Experience with front desk operations or hospitality management systems preferred
