Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Produce Clerk (Part-time) to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist customers in selecting fresh produce, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the produce department, and ensure a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities
- Stock, organize, and display fresh produce items to ensure an attractive and accessible presentation
- Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within the produce department, including cleaning displays and equipment
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and proper inventory management
- Operate equipment such as forklifts (if certified) for moving large quantities of produce safely
- Monitor product quality and remove any damaged or expired items promptly
- Support merchandising efforts by setting up promotional displays and signage
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth department operations and maintain organizational standards
Skills
- Previous experience in retail sales or food merchandising is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Good organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain an orderly department
- Basic cleaning and maintenance skills to uphold sanitation standards
- Ability to operate cash registers efficiently for cashiering duties
- Excellent communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions
- Attention to detail to ensure product quality and proper display standards
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
