INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION ELECTRICIAN - APPRENTICE & JOURNEYMAN

Initiative Industrial Electric provides industrial electrical construction services in Scarborough, Ontario. We're hiring Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians for an active industrial installation project in the Scarborough area, involving field wiring, cable tray, lighting, MCC/PLC installation and process instrumentation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Wire and terminate 575 V motor control centers (MCC), PLC control cabinets, remote cabinets, and junction boxes
- Run conduit and cable tray from the MCC out to field motors, including local disconnects
- Run conduit and cable tray from the PLC panel out to field instruments
- Terminate instrumentation and loop-check, signing off loop sheets before commissioning
- Hang LED lighting on platforms, emergency lighting and more
- Bond equipment and tie into the site's ground grid
- Install heaters, venting, and the lighting panels in the electrical rooms
- Mount welding receptacles around site
- Work with electrical drawings & field drawings
- Redline drawings as built and keep QA/QC paperwork current
- Follow site safety procedures
JOURNEYMAN REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate of Qualification, Construction and Maintenance Electrician (309A), or Red Seal endorsement (valid in Ontario)
- Experience in industrial or municipal construction environments
- Able to read drawings and work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable mentoring apprentices on-site
APPRENTICE REQUIREMENTS
- Registered, or eligible to register, with Skilled Trades Ontario as a 309A apprentice
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job
- Basic understanding of electrical theory and tools is an asset
- Reliable and able to follow direction from journeymen and supervisors
ALL CANDIDATES
- Own basic hand tools
- Able to pass a site safety orientation
-Should be able to lift up to 50lbs, Climb Stairs and work with ladders
-Indoor/Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
-Include relevant up to date safety tickets/training in application
-Night shift work may be required based on project requirements
-Fall Protection, EWP, Telehandler tickets and experience is an asset
