Overview
We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Coding / Robotics Teaching Assistant to support our instructors during STEAM classes and camps. This role is ideal for university students, education assistants, aspiring teachers, engineering students, computer science students, or anyone passionate about technology and working with children.
The assistant will help students during robotics and coding activities, prepare classroom materials, maintain equipment, and contribute to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist instructors during robotics, coding, and engineering classes.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students during activities and projects.
- Help students troubleshoot basic programming and robotics challenges.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain robotics kits, laptops, tablets, and classroom materials.
- Assist with classroom setup and cleanup before and after classes.
- Monitor student engagement and encourage participation.
- Support instructors with attendance, student supervision, and classroom management.
- Help document student projects through photos, videos, or project notes.
- Assist during workshops, camps, special events, competitions, and showcases.
- Ensure classroom equipment and materials are properly stored and maintained.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Currently studying or completed studies in Computer Science, Engineering, Education, Sciences, or a related field (preferred).
- Comfortable working with children aged 6–14.
- Basic knowledge of coding concepts (Scratch, Python, or similar platforms).
- Interest in robotics, engineering, or technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with instructors and other team members.
- Reliable, organized, and punctual.

Pay: $17.85-$25.00 per hour
