Quality Control Inspector
Department: QC
Reports to: QC Manager
Full time - Monday to Friday 3:30pm - 12:00 am
Job Summary: Responsible for implementing the quality control program to ensure products meet quality and performance standards, by using either machinery or direct sensory observation. The quality assurance inspector must maintain accurate records of their work and send defective products back for repairs. They also try to locate the source of any defects and to assure that future items don't have the same problems.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Inspect production materials for defect
· Remove defective items from production
· Report defects to appropriate manager
· Perform internal QC audits
· Maintain records of QC reports
· Maintain current certificates of authorization
· Ensure subcontractor compliance
· Assist with maintenance of QC monitoring programs
· Support new product development
· Comply with company QC programs for monitoring supplier quality
· Ensure outgoing compliance with local, national and international standards and legislation
· Ensure calibration and condition of gauges.
· Verify & Validate products and processes to prints and SOP
· Assist in Training personnel to the quality expectations
· Create and maintain QC documentation
· Actively participates in the implementation and daily routines of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
· Actively participates and cooperates with internal/external ISO and CSA Audits
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· 2 years minimum of QC experience in a technical manufacturing setting
· Experience in QC of assembly lines
· College courses in QC, or operations management
· LEAN, Six Sigma experience and training preferred.

· Use all types of measuring tools including but not limited to Depth Micrometres and Calipers
