Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to our dental team, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, assisting with various dental procedures and enhancing patient experiences. Prior experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix is preferred, along with familiarity in orthodontics, pediatrics, and dental assisting techniques.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records using Epic and Dentrix software systems
- Provide post-treatment instructions to patients and answer their questions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Support the front desk as needed, including performing duties similar to a dental receptionist
- Ensure accurate documentation of medical terminology related to dental procedures
- Educate patients on oral health care and treatment plans
Skills
- Proficiency in dental software tracker for scheduling
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Ability to assist with dental assisting tasks including CAD imaging techniques
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
