We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Subcontractor Framing Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in framing, including wood and metal stud framing, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality workmanship. This position requires the ability to work independently, read blueprints, and collaborate effectively with other construction professionals.
Compensation: $50,000 - $100,000 annually based on piecework

Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of all construction elements into the overall project.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine layout and framing requirements.
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling wood or metal studs to create walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Installing framing components according to building codes and project specifications.
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and according to schedule.
- Collaborating with other construction professionals to coordinate work schedules and project timelines.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Receiving direction from the project manager as directed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in framing, with a strong understanding of wood and metal stud framing techniques.
- Must have own vehicle, tools, and equipment for framing.
- Must carry their own Liability Insurance and Workers Comp (WSIB).
- Must be willing to undergo and pass a criminal background check.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to framing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
- Must be clean, tidy, and responsible for maintaining a safe job site.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Must have a smartphone and basic computer skills for receiving dispatch orders.
- Completion of a formal framing apprenticeship is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Compensation
$50 - $60 hourly
