Our client is seeking a Senior Contract Conformance Specialist to provide senior-level supply chain contract support, including drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex agreements while ensuring compliance with approved templates, policies, business objectives, and risk standards. (Hybrid- Edmonton or Calgary)
- Minimum of 6 years experience in supply chain in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Experience drafting complex agreements and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
- Strong understanding of contract law and related contractual risks.
- Proficiency with enterprise systems such as Oracle Cloud, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.

- Completion of a supply chain management-related professional certification, such as PMAC or ISM.
- Experience supporting Service Agreements, Consulting Agreements, and Engineering Service Agreements.
- Experience working within a Contracts Center, SCM governance framework, or similar contract management environment.
- Experience supporting auditability, contract lifecycle documentation, and compliance reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities with minimal supervision.
- Experience applying approved contract templates, standard clauses, policies, precedents, and documented risk guidance.
- Independently draft, review, and negotiate moderately complex agreements using approved contract templates and standard clauses.
- Facilitate and support supplier negotiations on contractual terms and conditions within defined risk parameters.
- Escalate non-standard terms, high-risk deviations, material risks, or significant financial exposure to Legal or senior SCM leaders as required.
- Coordinate input from SCM, Legal, and functional stakeholders to consolidate positions and resolve contractual issues.
- Review and respond to supplier redlines using approved contractual standards, precedents, and risk guidance.
- Provide contract drafting and negotiation support to SCM and business stakeholders to enable timely sourcing and procurement activities.
- Advise on appropriate contract type selection in alignment with SCM policies, processes, and sourcing strategies.
- Support contract execution by handing off finalized agreements to SCM teams for purchase order or master agreement release.
- Maintain contract records, documentation, and lifecycle status updates in designated systems.
- Promote consistent use of approved contract language, processes, and best practices within the SCM Contracts Center.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, governance frameworks, contracts policy, and SCM process requirements.
- Clarify stakeholder requirements, explain contractual implications, and support informed decision-making.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding contract terms, conditions, redlines, and negotiation outcomes.
