Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient trained Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring an excellent experience for every customer. Prior experience in the food industry or food service is preferred. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills cash handling, and customer interaction within a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using standard recipes and equipment
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash or card payments
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils according to food safety standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any questions or concerns
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times
- Follow all food safety protocols and handle food products responsibly in accordance with health regulations
- Restock supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving, cashiering is desirable
