Job Summary
Child of the Wild, Forest & Nature school, is on the GROW with the opening of a NEW locaiton in Fenelon Falls opening this fall. We are looking for TWO reliable, trustworthy, nature loving facilitators to lead, guide and teach the generation of children before us. We're looking for someone who shares our passion for nature-based learning and is committed to providing high-quality alternative eduation for children aged 4-12 years old.
Duties
- Work as a team player with our facilitator team to plan and facilitate nature-based programming for children ages 4-12 years old
- Lead groups of children on nature walks, facilitate hands-on activities, and encourage exploration and discovery
- Collaborate with other facilitators to ensure the group dynamic fosters a sense of safety and belonging for all children involved
Requirements
- Education in Childcare (ECE, CYC, Teacher, etc.) and/or extensive relevent working experience in child care settings
- Up to date First Aid & CPR C
- Clear Criminal & Vulnerable Sector Check
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Values the alternative education sector
Bonus Points
- Fluency/partial fluency in French
- Previous experience with nature-based programming or outdoor education
- Certification in nature-based education or outdoor leadership
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
