No Forks Given is seeking a full time Kitchen Manager. This is a fast-casual smash burger specialized restaurant near Ottawa University Campus.
The position is available beginning Monday July 22 with some flexibility on the start date. It is a long term position; we expect the successful candidate to hold this position for a minimum of 2 years.
This restaurant serves gourmet burgers, poutine, chicken wings, and other fried snack foods. The menu provides many options for guests following various dietary restrictions, including gluten-free, vegetarian, plant-based, and halal diets.

The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations in the kitchen. Managing staff, overseeing food production and flow of service, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day operations in the kitchen
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including scheduling and assigning tasks
- Maintaining standards set for food quality, portioning and company recipes
- Managing inventory & ordering products
- Maintaining current labor and food cost percentages
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to a deep cleaning schedule and ensuring all health standards are followed
- Work the line during lunch service

Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years experience cooking in a professional environment
- Minimum 2 years experience in a management role in a restaurant kitchen
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Food Handler Certification, in depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills, respectfully and effectively interacting with staff and suppliers
Compensation for this role will be between 26$-28$/hour starting wage, with the standard overtime rate paid as applicable (none expected). You will also receive half shares in our tip pool, totalling approximately 200$ bi-weekly. Full time employees are eligible for our group health/dental/life/ltd insurance policy coverage after a 6 month waiting period. Vacation pay will be the standard 4% for the first year, increasing to a maximum of 6% based on performance in subsequent years. We also offer 3 paid days of sick leave per year.
