Key West Ford is expanding and looking to add an experienced automotive accountant to our growing team.

The Dealership Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of the dealership. This is a key role that supports the overall financial health and efficiency of the business.
What You’ll Do
Reconcile bank account daily, clearing all previous day cleared deposits and cashed cheques
- Daily lending payouts and advances
- Issue cheque payments
- Review, reconcile and clear vehicle inventory balance sheet schedules
- Review and clear various accounts reconciling schedules and following up on outstanding items
- Post Ford New Vehicle invoices and process stocking in units when they arrive
- Maintain and keep business office log updated, monthly reconciliation
- Maintain financial records including general ledger entries, reconciliation and journal postings
- Support audits and ensure compliance with best accounting practices
- Assist with annual audit activities
- Cross training with other administrative tasks to provide support when necessary
- Follow and complete month end procedures accurately and efficiently
What We’re Looking For
- Experience – Minimum of 3 years experience as dealership accountant. Accounting degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Microsoft Excel Skills – Proficiency in building, maintaining, and reconciling spreadsheets
- Efficiency – Keen time management skills and the ability to complete tasks accurately
- Professionalism – A positive attitude and the ability to handle sensitive financial information in confidence
- Adaptability – Handle files across multiple departments, and works well as part of a team
- Flexibility – Ability to work through challenges and find solutions with enthusiasm

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
