The Marketing Associate is responsible for identifying retailer opportunities, merchandising trends, and product features that support traffic, sales, and customer engagement across Oxford Properties’ retail portfolio. Reporting to the Director, Marketing.
Acting as the primary liaison between Oxford marketing teams and retail partners, this role uncovers opportunities for retailer exposure and provides ongoing insight into emerging consumer and merchandising trends.
The role leads the curation of retailers, products, and promotions for inclusion across marketing channels, including shopping and gift guides, seasonal campaigns, and digital content. Ensuring the right mix of partners is featured to align with campaign objectives and business priorities.
As a key source of retailer intelligence, this role ensures marketing programs consistently showcase relevant, compelling retail experiences that drive engagement and performance.
You will be responsible for:
- Build and manage relationships with retailer marketing partners across national, regional, and local levels, serving as the primary liaison for marketing opportunities and campaign participation
- Monitor retail trends, consumer behaviour, and merchandising across key categories to provide insights that inform campaign planning and seasonal strategies for shopping centre retail marketing teams
- Analyze retailer performance and category trends to identify opportunities that support traffic, sales, and broader business objectives
- Identify and curate retailers, products, and promotions for inclusion across marketing channels, ensuring content is visually compelling and aligned with brand standards
- Support the development and execution of seasonal campaigns, shopping guides, and retailer-led initiatives tied to key retail moments throughout the year
- Maintain retailer marketing resources, track participation and engagement, and support portfolio-wide communications and special projects
Required Skills& Experience
- 3–4 years of experience in retail marketing, shopping centre marketing, brand marketing, merchandising, retail partnerships, or a related field.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting digital marketing, campaign planning, retailer marketing, or merchandising initiatives is considered an asset
- Understanding of retail marketing, merchandising, consumer behaviour, and shopping trends. Demonstrated interest in fashion, beauty, dining, home, lifestyle, and emerging consumer trends.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret retail performance data and identify opportunities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency with Canva, Microsoft Office applications, reporting tools, and presentation software.
Preferred Skills& Experience
- Experience working directly with retailers, brands, agencies, or consumer-facing businesses.
- Keen eye for merchandising, photography, creative asset quality, and retailer presentation.
- Proficiency withWord Press& Adobe Creative Suite experience beneficial.

The expected salary range for this position is $62,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year.
