Bradley Compact Excavation Inc. is looking for an experienced Pitman to join our growing residential excavation team. We are looking for a motivated, dependable individual with at least 3 years of pitman experience who can work safely, efficiently, and take pride in producing quality work.
Previous residential excavation experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the excavator operator with layout of residential excavation projects.
- Set grades and elevations using a laser level.
- Be able to full read architectural and structural drawings.
- Mark out excavations and ensure excavations meet required specifications.
- Guide equipment operators safely around utilities, structures, and other hazards.
- Perform hand digging, trench clean-up, and final site preparation as required.
- Operate skid steers and small compact equipment when needed.
- Complete daily timesheets and required paperwork.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite.
- Follow all company health and safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of pitman experience.
- Previous residential excavation experience is preferred.
- Experience using laser levels and reading grades.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Physically fit and comfortable performing manual labour in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Valid driver's licence with reliable transportation.

Pay: $34.00-$40.00 per hour
