Aegis Mobile Power Washing Ltd. is seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to expand our team of Railcar Exterior Cleaning Technicians for specialized passenger rail car cleaning.
This position involves cleaning the exterior surfaces of passenger rail cars using brushes, pressure washing equipment, and approved cleaning chemicals. Successful candidates will work as part of a team in a fast-paced rail yard environment where quality, efficiency, and safety are essential.
Position Details
Position: Railcar Exterior Cleaning Technician
Schedule: Sunday through Friday, approximately 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM (scheduling flexibility may be available)
Start Date: Immediate / Quick Start Available
Contract Duration: Through approximately mid-October 2026
Compensation: Starting at $22.00/hour, with regular wage increases and retention bonuses available
Please note: Due to the nature of the rail industry, shift start and end times may vary slightly depending on train schedules, operational requirements, and service delays.
Responsibilities
- Clean the exterior surfaces of passenger rail cars using brushes, pressure washers, and approved cleaning products
- Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail
- Work safely around water, cleaning chemicals, rail equipment, and moving machinery
- Follow company safety procedures and rail yard requirements at all times
- Identify and report equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality deficiencies
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete nightly cleaning assignments
- Assist with equipment setup, operation, and cleanup at the beginning and end of each shift
- Perform physically demanding work throughout the shift in a safe and efficient manner
QualificationsRequired
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when required
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Ability to work overnight shifts
Assets
- Experience using pressure washing equipment
- Experience in industrial cleaning, transportation cleaning, construction, or labour-intensive environments
- Experience working safely around chemicals, water, and industrial equipment
