Job Summary
The Family Learning Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering a supportive and engaging educational environment for housing with families with Disabilities. This position involves demonstrated experience in person-directed planning, supported living, and family leadership in the Ontario developmental services sector.
You will take the initiative in coordinating meetings with other community housing organizations for adults with Disabilities, as well as facilitating learning opportunities for families interested in beginning the housing process.
Responsibilities
- Develop, organize, and facilitate educational housing ideas
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance resource availability and program diversity.
- Provide guidance and support to parents, guardians, and caregivers .
- Maintain accurate records regarding facilitated outreach programs regarding housing ideas
Requirements
- Experience working with housing, disabilities preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse families and community members.
- Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate educational meeting
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt based on community needs and feedback.
- A background in social work, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
