Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Social Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct support to individuals, assist with daily programming, and help foster a positive and structured environment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges
- Assist with daily routines, personal care, and life skills development
- Implement individualized care and behaviour support plans
- Support clients in community integration and social activities
- Use de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques when required
- Maintain accurate documentation including case notes and incident reports
- Facilitate group activities, programs, and outings
- Collaborate with team members, families, and external professionals
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or degree in Social Service Worker, Developmental Service Worker, or related field
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behaviour management is an asset
- Valid First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
