Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cake Decorator and Food Service Supervisor to join our team. This role combines creative cake decorating with leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, customer service, and team management, ensuring high-quality product presentation and exceptional guest experiences. Duties
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision, creativity, and attention to detail, ensuring visual appeal aligns with customer specifications.
- Supervise daily food service operations, including managing staff, coordinating shifts, and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Oversee food preparation processes, maintaining quality standards and efficient kitchen practices.
- Handle POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems; process cash handling and payments efficiently.
- Manage team members by interviewing potential staff, providing training, and supervising their performance to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of the work area.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with management on restaurant or hotel operations to enhance overall service quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or bakery decoration; prior restaurant or hotel experience is preferred.
- Supervising experience within the food industry or hospitality sector is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Leadership qualities with experience in supervising staff, interviewing candidates, and managing restaurant or kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as barista or serving staff is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
