Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing advanced equipment and mechanical expertise.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders and graders with precision and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing basic repairs.
- Drive commercial vehicles when necessary for transporting equipment or materials around the site.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes and graders.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to operate machinery effectively.
- Skilled in loader operation, grader operation and excavator handling.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred for driving heavy vehicles on-site or between locations.
- Strong understanding of construction processes including paving and site grading.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in construction or heavy equipment operation who are committed to safety and quality workmanship.
Pay: $29.00-$34.00 per hour
