Manufacturing Team Members
Location: Okanagan Falls, BC
Due to continued growth and a strong demand for our products, we are expanding our production teams and are currently hiring general labourers in our Assembly and Motor Shop departments.
In assembly you will play a key role in the construction of assembling modular building components, installing electrical equipment, and preparing and painting finished products.
In the Motor Shop you will contribute to the production, service, and maintenance of our industry-leading Linear Induction Motors.
Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and operating a variety of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Training will be provided as required.
As a member of our production team, you will be part of the United Steelworkers (USW) bargaining unit and covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable Collective Agreement.

What we do:
Unit Electric designs and manufactures standard and custom electrical power, distribution and control equipment for mining, renewable energy, oil & gas, commercial, industrial and transportation.
What we offer:
- Competitive wages with a 4% wage increase Aug 1st.
- Afternoon shift - 10 hours - Monday - Thursdays with an afternoon shift premium.
- Day shift Monday - Friday, 7:30 - 4:00.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in manufacturing, construction is an asset
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team orientated environment
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the positions including bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable and dependable
- Capable of communicating and collaborating with others in a respectful and professional way
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work overtime
