Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires a strong focus on hospitality, multitasking, and effective communication to meet the needs of our guests and maintain smooth restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, including Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with strong knowledge of the food industry standards
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and payment processing
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Strong understanding of food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols
- Ability to perform basic math for billing, tipping, and cash handling accurately
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume service times
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality principles and guest services excellence
- Upselling skills to promote menu items and enhance guest experience
