Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver with a manual license to join our local transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver freight within the region, ensuring timely and secure deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on local deliveries and operational excellence.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver freight to various USA locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch via WhatsApp.
- Complete logbooks using the Samsara electronic logging system.
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and verifying shipment accuracy
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
Skills
- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 6 months experience required
- Experience with reefer and dry van freight is required
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Strong organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients and for crossing border
